1. Who we are
This website is operated by Huggnote Ltd, a company registered in Ireland (CRO number 568811). Huggnote Ltd is the data controller responsible for personal data collected via this site.
Registered address: available on request.
Privacy contact: Perry Meskell, COO — perry@huggnote.com
2. What data we collect
We only collect personal data you choose to give us, plus minimal technical data needed to run the site:
- VIP signup form (via Tally): the information you submit — typically your name and email — so we can let you know when Huggnote 1.0 launches.
- Email correspondence: if you email us, we keep that correspondence to respond and follow up.
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and does not use cookies or fingerprinting. It records aggregated, anonymised page views.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party profiling tools.
3. Why we use it (lawful basis)
- VIP signups: to let you know when Huggnote 1.0 launches — lawful basis: consent (you submit the form voluntarily).
- Email replies: to respond to enquiries — lawful basis: legitimate interest.
- Anonymised analytics: to understand site usage — lawful basis: legitimate interest; no personal data is processed.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted processors to run the site:
- Tally (form host) — stores your VIP signup securely. Tally GDPR info.
- Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, analytics) — delivers the site and provides anonymised analytics. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google Workspace — for email correspondence sent to our addresses.
We never sell your personal data. We only share it with these processors to operate the service, or where required by law.
5. International transfers
Some of our processors (e.g. Cloudflare, Google) may transfer data outside the EEA. Where this happens, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards under GDPR.
6. How long we keep it
VIP signups are kept until launch and for a reasonable follow-up period (typically up to 24 months), after which they are deleted or anonymised. Email correspondence is retained as long as needed. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data erased ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email perry@huggnote.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
8. Cookies
This site does not set tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set essential cookies required for security and performance. Our analytics provider (Cloudflare Web Analytics) does not use cookies.
9. Changes
We may update this policy occasionally. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the latest version.
